Build for Real Life
We start with a plan that fits the life you’re living: your goals, your schedule, your equipment, your starting point. Not the life you had in 2019.
The Consistency Project · 12-Week Coaching
The Consistency Project is 12 weeks of one-on-one coaching for people who’ve started over before, and are done starting over.
We build your training around your goals, your schedule, and the equipment you actually have. Then we adjust it as life changes, because life will change. That’s not a flaw in the plan. That is the plan.
A conversation first. No pitch, no pressure.
Consistency is what adaptability looks like over time.
Most people don’t have a motivation problem. They have a plan that only works in a perfect week, and perfect weeks are rarer than gym memberships in January would suggest.
So we don’t chase perfect weeks. We build a plan that bends: realistic minimums for busy stretches, room to push when life opens up, and a coach in your corner helping you decide what to do next.
You’re three weeks into a good routine. Training is happening. Food is mostly handled. You feel like yourself again.
Then work blows up. Or the kids get sick. Or a family thing eats the whole week. You miss a workout, then two. The plan you were following assumed a life you’re not currently living, so it quietly stops making sense, and by the time things settle, you’re back at the familiar question: where do I even start again?
Here’s the part nobody tells you: the missed week isn’t the problem. Not knowing what to do next is.
In The Consistency Project, an interrupted week is just information. We look at what actually happened, decide what this week can hold, and keep moving. Always something. Never nothing.
One short workout keeps the thread. Picking the thread back up is the whole skill.
Four pillars. Nothing fancy, just the things that actually keep people training month after month, practised on purpose for 12 weeks.
We start with a plan that fits the life you’re living: your goals, your schedule, your equipment, your starting point. Not the life you had in 2019.
Each week, we agree on a manageable commitment, the floor, not the ceiling. On a good week you can do more. On a hard week, the minimum keeps you in the game.
Through check-ins and coaching conversations, we look at what’s working, what isn’t, and what to adjust. You’re never left guessing what to do next.
Interruptions will happen. We practise getting back into a rhythm afterwards, so a rough week becomes a pause, not another restart from zero.
Practical support, every week: enough structure to keep you moving, enough flexibility to survive your calendar.
A strength program matched to your goals, experience, schedule, and the equipment you have, at home, in a gym, or a mix of both.
No meal-plan theatre. We work on the eating habits that matter most for you, one manageable change at a time.
A short weekly review of what happened (training, food, life) so we can set the week ahead with clear eyes.
Real conversations to work through obstacles, adjust the plan, and make decisions together instead of alone at 11 p.m.
Questions between calls don’t have to wait. Message me when something comes up and we’ll sort it out.
Founding rate: $1,200 for the first 10 people. Regular price $1,500.
Start dates are rolling. Coaching is delivered in the Everfit app, with our conversations on Zoom.
Early on, I make most of the calls. That’s what you’re hiring. But week by week, you get more practice reading your own schedule, setting your own minimums, and adjusting on the fly.
By the end of 12 weeks, the goal isn’t just that you trained consistently. It’s that you know how to keep going when I’m not the one making the decision.
I’m Mark Young, founder of Mildly Determined Fitness and creator of The Consistency Project.
I’ve spent over 25 years helping people get stronger, healthier, and more confident. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that most people don’t struggle with fitness because they don’t know what to do. They struggle because life keeps getting in the way.
That’s why I created The Consistency Project.
My approach isn’t about perfection, extreme motivation, or starting over every Monday. It’s about building a realistic, sustainable relationship with fitness that works with your life, not against it.
Always something. Never nothing.
Foundations is where everyone starts. It isn’t where it ends. After the 12 weeks, The Groove keeps your coaching going month to month, and the Bounce Back Pack is there for Foundations graduates when life knocks you off track, so you can pick things back up without starting over.
Not because life will suddenly cooperate, it won’t. But because this time, the plan expects that. Book a call and we’ll talk about where you are, what’s gotten in the way before, and whether The Consistency Project is the right fit.
Let’s Talk CoachingDone: the booking link, your approved bio, your photo, and the Bounce Back Pack stamp are all in place. Pricing now appears on both pages, and program logistics are confirmed: rolling start dates, coaching delivered in the Everfit app, with conversations on Zoom.

Mildly Determined Fitness · The Full Program
For the highly inconsistent and the mildly determined.
You’ve started over more times than you can count, usually on a Monday. One missed workout turns into giving up on the whole plan, and one bad week turns into three bad months.
It goes like this. You miss Tuesday, so Thursday doesn’t happen either. Tuesday already broke the plan. By the weekend the whole week feels ruined, so you may as well start fresh on Monday. Then Monday is a bad Monday, so you aim for the first of the month. And suddenly it’s three months later.
You’re going to fall off. I know this because I do it too. So the measure that matters here isn’t whether you fall off, it’s how long it takes you to get back. If last time took three months and this time takes one, that’s progress. Real progress.
The Consistency Project is built around shortening that gap. It has three parts, and everyone starts in the same place.
12 weeks. Learn the system, with support that spreads out on purpose.
Ongoing coaching, one meeting every four weeks.
Four weeks to get your feet back under you. No starting over.
Part One · Everyone starts here
Foundations is a 12-week coaching program, and it’s the front door. Nobody skips it, because this is where you learn the skill the whole project runs on: adjusting the plan instead of abandoning it.
You also learn to run your own Navigation Meeting, the short, regular sit-down where you look at what actually happened, decide what the week ahead can hold, and set your minimums. Early on, we run it together. By the end, you can run it yourself, which is rather the point.
Built around your goals, your schedule, and the equipment you have, not the life you wish you were living.
Practical work on the eating habits that matter most for you, one manageable change at a time.
Questions don’t have to wait for the next meeting. Message me on weekdays and we’ll sort it out.
Spread further apart as the program goes on, on purpose. See below.
The meetings start in weeks one, two, and three, then space out. Early on, you get more of me. As your Navigation Meeting becomes yours, you need me less, so you get less of me. That’s not a gap in the service. That’s the service working.
$1,200 for the first 10 people
The regular rate is $1,500. The founding rate is the lowest price Foundations will be offered at.
Part Two · After Foundations
Twelve weeks end. Life, rudely, does not. The Groove is the ongoing coaching option for people who’ve finished Foundations and want to keep going, with less support, because by then you need less.
We meet once every four weeks. Between meetings, you run your own Navigation Meetings and adjust as you go. You learned how in Foundations. At our meeting, we look at the bigger picture and reset the direction.
And the program keeps changing, because your life keeps changing. New goals, new schedule, new equipment, new season of life: the training follows. Staying in the groove doesn’t mean doing the same thing forever. It means the plan never goes stale enough to quit.
Part Three · For Foundations graduates
At some point you will fall off. A brutal month at work, an illness, a family thing, a stretch where training just stops. This isn’t a character flaw I’m predicting, it’s a scheduling certainty.
The Bounce Back Pack is a separate four-week coaching option for Foundations graduates, for exactly that moment. We get your feet back under you: a plan scaled to the life you’re in now, your minimums reset, and your Navigation Meetings running again.
It is not starting over. You’re not back at week one, and you haven’t undone anything. You already know how to do this, you just need a hand picking the thread back up, and four weeks to find your rhythm again.
Most programs are built to keep you close: more sessions, more check-ins, more of the coach, indefinitely. There’s nothing sinister about it, it’s just a business model.
This one runs the other way. The meetings spread out. You learn to run the Navigation Meeting yourself. The ongoing option meets once a month. The whole design points at the same outcome: you, handling your own training through an ordinary, messy life.
So no, this program is not made to make you dependent on Mark. If it works, you’ll need him less at the end than you did at the start, and on the weeks when everything falls apart anyway, you’ll know the way back is smaller than it feels.
Always something. Never nothing.
Not because life will suddenly cooperate, it won’t. But because this time, the plan expects that. Book a call and we’ll talk about where you are, what’s gotten in the way before, and whether The Consistency Project is the right fit.
